Ross 780 sails: questions

How much is a new mainsail for a Ross 780?

From A$1,768.80 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$1,947 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$2,004.20. Every mainsail is cut to the Ross 780 rig (P 9.26 m, E 3.85 m) with two reefs.

What size genoa does a Ross 780 need?

We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 8.51 m, J 2.65 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$936.10.

What size spinnaker fits a Ross 780?

A Size 00 (27 m²) asymmetric suits the Ross 780 fore-triangle. It starts at A$896.50, or A$1,421.20 with a dousing sock.

What size storm jib and trysail fit a Ross 780?

The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (3.6 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (6.2 m²). That makes our Extra Small (3 m²) storm jib and Small (6.1 m²) trysail the right sizes.

How do I check my boat matches these measurements?

Measure I, J, P and E and compare them with the rig table. We confirm every measurement with you before the sail is cut.
