A made-to-measure boom cover for a mainsail that comes off the mast and is flaked on the boom. Choose your boom length (E), canvas and colour. We check your measurements with you before it is made.
Choosing a size
Sizes go by boom length (E): the foot length of the mainsail, measured along the boom from the back of the mast. Pick the band your E falls in. If you are right on the edge, choose the larger size. The finished cover is about E + 0.5 m long so it can wrap around the mast.
Canvas
- Sauleda: acrylic canvas.
- Sunbrella: acrylic canvas.
- WeatherMAX: polyester canvas.
Colours: Black, Captain Navy, Pacific Blue, Forest Green, Red, Grey and Natural / White. Exact shades vary a little between the three canvas makers.
What’s included
- Cover made to your boom length in your choice of canvas and colour
- Zip at the forward end around the mast, closing from the bottom up
- Webbing strap with hook-and-loop closure around the mast at the top of the cover, so the zip cannot open by itself
- Adjustable webbing straps with black snap buckles under the boom, about every 600 to 800 mm
