From A$12,228.70 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$12,562 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$15,810.30. Every mainsail is cut to the X-Yachts X-55 Carbon rig (P 22.35 m, E 7.60 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 23.25 m, J 6.15 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$9,345.60.
A Size 13 (165 m²) asymmetric suits the X-Yachts X-55 Carbon fore-triangle. It starts at A$4,704.70, or A$5,990.60 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (27.0 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (29.7 m²). That makes our Maxi (12 m²) storm jib and Maxi (15.5 m²) trysail the right sizes.
Measure I, J, P and E and compare them with the rig table. We confirm every measurement with you before the sail is cut.
For a race programme, a Sydney to Hobart or a bluewater expedition, our sister loft Kraken Sails designs laminates, membrane sails and storm wardrobes for the hard end of sailing.
