From A$4,725.60 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$4,980.80 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$6,227.10. Every mainsail is cut to the Westsail 42 rig (P 13.34 m, E 5.74 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 15.09 m, J 6.36 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$5,177.70.
A Size 10 (118 m²) asymmetric suits the Westsail 42 fore-triangle. It starts at A$3,338.50, or A$4,390.10 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (11.4 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (13.4 m²). That makes our Extra Large (9.5 m²) storm jib and Large (10.8 m²) trysail the right sizes.
