Van de Stadt 30 sails: questions

How much is a new mainsail for a Van de Stadt 30?

From A$1,905.20 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$2,065.80 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$2,575.10. Every mainsail is cut to the Van de Stadt 30 rig (P 10.46 m, E 3.44 m) with two reefs.

What size genoa does a Van de Stadt 30 need?

We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 11.89 m, J 3.60 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$1,886.50.

What size spinnaker fits a Van de Stadt 30?

A Size 3 (50 m²) asymmetric suits the Van de Stadt 30 fore-triangle. It starts at A$1,628, or A$2,293.50 with a dousing sock.

What size storm jib and trysail fit a Van de Stadt 30?

The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (7.1 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (6.3 m²). That makes our Medium (5.7 m²) storm jib and Small (6.1 m²) trysail the right sizes.

How do I check my boat matches these measurements?

Measure I, J, P and E and compare them with the rig table. We confirm every measurement with you before the sail is cut.
