From A$5,601.20 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$5,852 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$7,385.40. Every mainsail is cut to the J/40 rig (P 16.18 m, E 5.62 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 16.79 m, J 4.72 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$4,269.10.
A Size 8 (94 m²) asymmetric suits the J/40 fore-triangle. It starts at A$2,656.50, or A$3,602.50 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (14.1 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (15.9 m²). That makes our Maxi (12 m²) storm jib and Maxi (15.5 m²) trysail the right sizes.
Measure I, J, P and E and compare them with the rig table. We confirm every measurement with you before the sail is cut.
For a race programme, a Sydney to Hobart or a bluewater expedition, our sister loft Kraken Sails designs laminates, membrane sails and storm wardrobes for the hard end of sailing.
