From A$6,050 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$6,319.50 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$8,003.60. Every mainsail is cut to the Grand Soleil 42R rig (P 16.40 m, E 6.07 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 15.54 m, J 4.52 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$3,788.40.
A Size 7 (83 m²) asymmetric suits the Grand Soleil 42R fore-triangle. It starts at A$2,352.90, or A$3,227.40 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (12.1 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (17.4 m²). That makes our Maxi (12 m²) storm jib and Maxi (15.5 m²) trysail the right sizes.
