From A$7,095 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$7,360.10 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$9,248.80. Every mainsail is cut to the Formosa 56 Ketch rig (P 17.18 m, E 5.94 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 19.28 m, J 7.16 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$9,056.30.
A Size 13 (165 m²) asymmetric suits the Formosa 56 Ketch fore-triangle. It starts at A$4,704.70, or A$5,990.60 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (18.6 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (17.9 m²). That makes our Maxi (12 m²) storm jib and Maxi (15.5 m²) trysail the right sizes.
