From A$4,613.40 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$4,862 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$5,960.90. Every mainsail is cut to the Alerion 38 Express rig (P 14.44 m, E 5.56 m) with two reefs.
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 13.02 m, J 3.96 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$2,612.50.
A Size 5 (64 m²) asymmetric suits the Alerion 38 Express fore-triangle. It starts at A$2,069.10, or A$2,839.10 with a dousing sock.
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (8.5 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (14.1 m²). That makes our Large (7.5 m²) storm jib and Large (10.8 m²) trysail the right sizes.
Measure I, J, P and E and compare them with the rig table. We confirm every measurement with you before the sail is cut.
For a race programme, a Sydney to Hobart or a bluewater expedition, our sister loft Kraken Sails designs laminates, membrane sails and storm wardrobes for the hard end of sailing.
