A stackpack (also called a lazy bag) catches the mainsail as it comes down and zips closed over it, so the sail stays covered on the boom. Choose your boom length (E), canvas, colour, and whether you want lazy jack lines included. We check your measurements with you before it is made.
Choosing a size
Sizes go by boom length (E): the foot length of the mainsail, measured along the boom from the back of the mast. Pick the band your E falls in. The finished stackpack is about E + 0.5 m long, including the section that wraps around the mast.
Canvas
- Sauleda: acrylic canvas.
- Sunbrella: acrylic canvas.
- WeatherMAX: polyester canvas.
Colours: Black, Captain Navy, Pacific Blue, Forest Green, Red, Grey and Natural / White. Exact shades vary a little between the three canvas makers.
What’s included
- Stackpack with the sides stiffened along the top with battens
- Zipped top flap that closes over the sail. The slider closes aft to forward and has a pull lanyard.
- Mast section with a zip at its forward end, closing from the bottom up. When sailing it folds back inside the cover and is held with press clips.
- White YKK #10 to #15 zips with plastic sliders
- Fixing to the boom by slides or bolt rope, confirmed when we check your measurements
Lazy jacks
- Stackpack only: the stackpack and battens. No lines or blocks.
- With lazy jack lines: adds the lazy jack line and 6 rings for the lazy jack system. Line lengths are worked out from your boom length, and the downhaul at the mast may need trimming when you fit it.
Not included
- Blocks, and fittings on the mast or boom
- Colours outside the list above (ask us)
- Shipping (added at checkout)
