From A$6,053.30 in Dimension-Polyant Optimum Cruise with 3 leech battens and a full-length head batten, or A$6,310.70 with 4 full battens. C-Breeze, the long-life cloth, starts at A$8,006.90. Every mainsail is cut to the Sly 42 rig (P 17.22 m, E 5.78 m) with two reefs.
What size genoa does a Sly 42 need?
We build 110% to 150% LP for the standard rig (I 16.64 m, J 5.20 m). Pick a smaller genoa for a windy home port and a larger one for light-air sailing. Furling genoas start at A$4,667.30.
What size spinnaker fits a Sly 42?
A Size 9 (106 m²) asymmetric suits the Sly 42 fore-triangle. It starts at A$3,036, or A$4,016.10 with a dousing sock.
What size storm jib and trysail fit a Sly 42?
The Offshore Special Regulations cap a storm jib at 5% of I squared (13.8 m² here) and a trysail at 17.5% of P × E (17.4 m²). That makes our Maxi (12 m²) storm jib and Maxi (15.5 m²) trysail the right sizes.
